Ingredients
- Whole Milk: 300 ml
- Double Cream: 200 ml
- Lindt Chocolate: 1½ bars (approximately 150g)
- Potion De V Pure Vanilla Extract in Bourbon: 2 teaspoons
- Toppings: Whipped cream or A dash of double cream or Mini marshmallows
Method
- Prepare Your Pan: Take a non-stick pan and place it on the stove over medium to low heat.
- Combine Milk and Cream : Pour in the whole milk and double cream into the pan. Allow it to warm gently.
- Add the Chocolate: Once the milk and cream mixture is warm (but not boiling), break the Lindt chocolate into small pieces and add them to the pan.
- Stir Until Smooth: Continuously stir the mixture as the chocolate begins to dissolve. Keep stirring until all the chocolate is fully integrated and the hot chocolate is smooth.
- Heat to Desired Temperature : Continue to warm the hot chocolate until it reaches your desired temperature, then remove the pan from the heat.
- Step it up with Vanilla: Add the vanilla extract to the hot chocolate. For an extra punch of flavour, pick out the beans from the extract (tweezers provided) and squeeze them into the mixture. Stir well.
- Serve: Pour the hot chocolate into cups. Top with whipped cream, mini marshmallows, or your favourite toppings.
